Happy 2025 to my health content audience! Are you a fellow freelance writer, healthcare worker, editor, journalist, marketing professional, entrepreneur, or simply a supporter of increasing awareness of important writing and wellness topics?

The RNscribe freelance nurse writer is proud to highlight two new blog series in the upcoming year: ScribeBytes and ScribeStories! Read more about these individual series below…

ScribeBytes Blog Series

The ScribeBytes blog series will focus on various topics relevant to healthcare workers, those who create health content, and those who work in less mainstream, entrepreneurial roles in the healthcare industry.

One essential hope for ScribeBytes is to spread knowledge that inspires writers and organizations to create more effective health content. Example topics might include:

  • Educational resources

  • Writing and marketing tools

  • Design tips

  • Best practice in content creation

  • How-to guides

  • Ways to stay grounded and maintain a sense of purpose

  • …and more!

The ScribeBytes blog also will highlight relatable success stories of entrepreneurs and healthcare workers. Together we can help those who make positive changes in their own lives and careers bring inspiration to others!

For example, December’s blog article, ScribeBytes: Creativity and Resilience with the Reflective Nurse, Natalie Lu, centers on the valuable insights of one local nurse entrepreneur. Here you can read about The RNscribe’s interview with Natalie Lu, MSN, RN, CPPS. Explore how she harnesses her creativity to become more effective, resilient, and inspired in her work.

In fact, Natalie has personally inspired me to bring more artistic endeavors to 2025! I’ll be joining in her monthly creativity workshops, which were included with her yearly Creative Expression for Resilience desk calendar. I look forward enhancing my practice with this unique artistic experience,

ScribeStories Blog Series

In the ScribeStories blog series, I plan to focus on the human experience in healthcare. I’ll use personal stories and interviews from real people to achieve two goals:

  • Educate about various health diagnoses and conditions (especially those that are overshadowed or misunderstood)

  • Use storytelling to provide a voice for individuals to share their unique health experiences, infusing the “personal” with the “clinical”

As human beings, we all deserve to have our voices heard and our stories validated. We also deserve advocacy and support when needed.

In addition, it’s important to open our eyes to the experiences of those around us. We have a responsibility to approach the vulnerability of others with curiosity and compassion.

I look forward to having you join me in this enlightening journey. Follow along with The RNscribe freelance health writing blog as ScribeBytes and ScribeStories take form. Here’s to wishing everyone an inspired start to 2025!
