Minnesota Cares Workshop: A Day of Wellness for Healthcare Workers
Happy November from The RNscribe! What will this “nurse turned solo-preneuer writer” be doing later this week…? I’ll be partaking in a professional development day focused on wellness and self care at the upcoming Minnesota Cares Workshop.
Are you local to the Twin Cities area? It’s not too late to join me! Read more below about this wonderful event for ALL kinds of healthcare workers.
On Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 7:30am-4:30pm, healthcare professionals from all over the Twin Cities region in Minnesota and beyond will gather for the annual Minnesota Cares Workshop (soon-to-be We Care). The event will take place at Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center, 6155 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430.
Get ready for a meaningful day centered on wellbeing, healing, and resilience! This event functions as a “thank you” for the valuable services of the healthcare community—including both clinical and non-clinical roles. It beautifully highlights the concept of wellness through the vast knowledge of many local speakers and professionals.
It’s not too late to register! The cost for attendance is only $20, which includes lunch, coffee, and free parking. Follow this registration link to sign up.
This process allows you to hand-pick your own personalized workshop topics from a wide variety of engaging options. Think of it like a “choose-your-own-adventure” in wellbeing…
Example workshop topics and activities include: making handmade mosaic journals, vital flow yoga, breathwork and movement, cultivating happiness, healthcare worker burnout, book folding, personal recovery plans, financial well-being, sound healing baths, compassion fatigue, and creative journaling for resilience.
According to the Minnesota Cares event website, the goal of this workshop is to:
“THANK the healthcare community for their past and ongoing service
TEACH self-care through a variety of workshops and learning sessions
FOSTER RESILIENCE for the future through evidence-based strategies and tools”
Healthcare workers may also receive CEUs or CMEs through their attendance at the workshop. See the Minnesota Cares website for a more detailed statement about CME eligibility.

Is the Minnesota Cares Workshop Really for Me?
Do you perhaps wonder how wellbeing can fit into your daily life when everything feels so CONSUMING and BUSY? Believe us, we get it…
Healthcare professionals spend their days at work (and often also at home) caring for other people. That is because we have a heart for service and often prioritize the wellness of others even above our own!
However, caregivers deserve care too.
In fact, does life sometimes leave you feeling like THIS?
Let the Minnesota Cares workshop help turn you from ungrounded to balanced! Join us while we share the message of wellbeing and healing with the community.
We can’t wait to see you there!
